Bliss in a Bottle is a concept for a micro retail wine shop pairing fine wines with fine chocolates. It originally debuted in Columbus, with forthcoming locations being built for Chicago, Cleveland, and Cincinnati.
At just ten feet by ten feet, the retail space works as an effective theater in the round for product tasting, packaged display, and wine bottle dipping and topping. An edge of digitally milled chocolate blobs hides storage, sinks, and a flat panel display.
Fabrication of the milled foam chocolate blob wine bottle holders was performed by BL/OV.
Each blob is fabricated in three separate layers and then finished in three chocolate colors that coordinate with Bliss in a Bottle's branding scheme. Clear coat MDF skins the elements so that they appear to emerge or recess into the storage wall's surface.
