The Taproom is the next venture of The Columbus Food League, the creative minds behind a number of casual dining venues in the city.
The Taproom's Bar will be fabricated from lumber of demolished Franklinton homes that was salvaged for new use. The back bar is a pattern of wood screen and chrome taps which have led ligting installed in their spigots.
The existing building has an unusual mark on its west-facing exterior brick wall: A calcified high water mark from Columbus' infamous Great Flood of 1913. Our ceiling element flips this line upside down and makes a fluidly changing geometry, bringing the space to a more intimate scale for barflys.
BL/OV will fabricate portions of the bar with coordination of the general contractor.
